From June 5th to 6th, sponsored by the Architectural Education Branch of the Architectural Society of China, the Beijing Civil Architecture Society, the Architectural Alliance of Jiaotong University, and Beijing Jiaotong University, and hosted by the School of Architecture and Art of Beijing Jiaotong University, the first "Transportation Architecture" Education Research Conference and Transportation Architecture Joint Graduation Design Review was held in Beijing. Focusing on the theme of "transportation and architecture" in the exploration and prospect of contemporary architectural education and research, this conference invited colleagues from the domestic and foreign architectural education circles and architectural circles to discuss architectural education and research towards characteristics and integration. Hou Quanhua, Dean of the School of Architecture of Chang'an University, was invited to attend the SJTU Architectural Alliance Conference and attended the conference. Vice Dean Bai Hua, Associate Professor Zhang Lei, Teacher Chen Qian and eight students participated in the event.
The theme of the conference is "Architectural Education and Research Towards Characteristics and Integration". The opening ceremony was presided over by Han Bing, Dean of the School of Architecture and Art, Beijing Jiaotong University, Li Cundong, Secretary General of the Architectural Society of China, Wu Jiang, Director of the Architectural Education Branch of the Architectural Society of China, and Beijing Jiaotong University. Xu Anguo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, delivered speeches respectively. Director Wu Jiang, Executive Dean of the School of Architecture and Design of Southwest Jiaotong University, Professor Shen Zhongwei, Chief Architect of China Architectural Design Institute, National Engineering Survey and Design Master Li Xinggang, Chief Architect of Architectural Design and Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences, National Cui Tong, a master of engineering survey and design, and other well-known experts and scholars made wonderful keynote reports on the conference.
The scene of "Transportation·Architecture" Education Research Conference
After the conference, the final evaluation and defense of this joint graduation project were conducted. A total of 18 groups of students from 11 well-known universities across the country, including Beijing Jiaotong University, Southwest Jiaotong University, and Shanghai Jiaotong University, were grouped into PPT reports and defenses. The content of the report is scored in terms of the originality and conception, design method, and overall presentation effect of the finalized plan. Finally, the final review panel led by three national engineering survey and design masters, Shao Weiping, Cui Tong, and Zheng Fang, will be selected through layers. The list of winners was comprehensively evaluated, and a total of two groups of first prizes, two groups of second prizes, three groups of third prizes, and six groups of excellence awards were decided.
Two groups of students representing our Chang’an University won the first prize, among which the title of “PERGOLA” (students: Tan Chuheng, Wang Congqi, Zhao Yuming, Dong Yue, instructors: Zhang Lei, Chen Qian) won the first prize; the title was “Zhangjiakou from a humanistic perspective” Design of the surrounding cities and complexes of the South Railway Station” (students: Wang Qin, Wang Sixiong, Zhu Luochen, Liu Birong, instructors: Zhang Lei, Chen Qian) won the second prize.

Awards scene
The theme of this year's Transportation Architecture Joint Graduation Design is "Healthy City, Digital Painting of Beijing-Zhangjiakou City and Complex Design from the Perspective of Humanism". This topic responds to the national strategy to strengthen the country through transportation, and focuses on the concepts of station-city integration, human-centered streets, and digital design. Taking the continuation of the memory of the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway, thinking about the new relationship between Beijing and Zhangzhou and the new dynamics of the Winter Olympics as the starting point, it explores the city driven by high-speed railway stations. new development, expanding the meaning of transportation in contemporary architecture and cities.
