In mid-December 2021, a new round of COVID-19 swept Chang'an University. In order to enrich students' professional learning and life during the COVID-19 lockdown period, and further stimulate their learning vitality and upward motivation, School of Architecture of Chang'an University has invited experts from foreign universities to give online professional lectures in strict compliance with relevant epidemic prevention requirements and continues to promote international educational exchanges and cooperation.
At 3p.m. on December 22, 2021, supported by the High-end Foreign Expert Importation Program, school of architecture invited Ms. Stephanie BOUFFLET, associate professor of École Nationale Supérieure D'architecture de Paris-Val de Seine, Paris, researcher of the French national academy of sciences, Doctor of urban planning and national registered architect of France (ArchitecteDPLG), to present Revealing the Territory to be Responsible Forit online report. The report was presided over by Professor Yu Kanhua, vice Dean of school of Architecture. Tan Jingbin, Zhang Wei, Zhang Yue and more than 100 teachers and students of School of Architecture attended the report.
Associate Professor BOUFFLET has been studying and teaching Chinese cities and culture for more than 20 years, paying particular attention to the ecological concept in traditional Chinese planning. In this lecture, she introduced her thoughts on the application of Chinese traditional view of nature in the construction of France by combining the three practical cases she participated in in France in the past five years and the results of the cooperative teaching research project with Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
At the beginning of the lecture, Associate Professor BOUFFLET used an online interactive software to get people's impressions of France. Then started by building scale to the city scale and regional scale, she introduced the three French planning practices: the first is the greenway system design, in this project, BOUFFLET briefly described the reuse of an abandoned natural site in the suburbs of Paris and the construction of a new leisure space system under the guidance of the natural concept of "unity of man and nature". The second project reflected the eco-city construction of the village of Besancourt in the suburb of Paris from the aspects of landscape conservation, nature-led residential design and the use of wood. The third project is in northern France's Normandy coast for a local festival site design, the base perennial was plagued with water level rise, coupled with the tide of the laws of nature, BOUFFLET combined with music culture in the region will become a combination of the base design festival and natural science for the integration of cultural sites.
After professor BOUFFLET's lecture, teachers and students eagerly asked questions and had further exchanges on the content of the lecture. It was agreed that the lecture had broken people's impression of France and given them a new understanding of French rural construction and urban planning.
Based on the current long-term situation of epidemic prevention and control, our online teaching activities have been transformed to explore the "continuous promotion mode". Under the guidance of the teaching spirit of our school, we are constantly improving the quality and making unremitting efforts to successfully complete the teaching and international exchange work under the background of epidemic prevention and control.
