From 10:00 am to 12:00 am on June 28th, the "2021 First-year Architecture Class 'Spatial Construction' Work Exhibition Review" of the School of Architecture was held at the south side of Mingyuan Third District. All grade 20 architecture students - a total of 32 teams brought their works. The director of the Department of Architecture, Mr. Chen Siliang, and all the teachers from the first grade group participated in the exhibition and evaluation.

"Spatial Construction" is an important teaching link of the first-class course "Architectural Design Fundamentals (2)" funded by the School of Architecture. Students can understand the form of space by processing and connecting real materials to build an actual space that meets the requirements of human activities. The relationship between material properties and structural form, and the concept of construction technology is initially established. The activity was presided over by Mr. Pu Wenjuan. First, Miss. Yin Chun explained the meaning of this "space construction" assignment to the students and opened the exhibition. Then, Mr. Chen Siliang reviewed the students' works one by one. Students fully display their own works, express their design ideas, and gain insights from teachers' comments.

The task of this "Spatial Construction" operation is to build a campus recreation space. Among them, eight groups of works stand out. They are "quadrant representation" from the first class of architecture, "swaying and sloping in the wind" from the second class of architecture, "kun" from the third class of architecture, "cloud pavilion" from the fourth class of architecture, "claw" from the fifth class of architecture, The "Delta Dome" of Class 6, the "Echo Light Talk" of Class 7 of Architecture, and the "StarHouse" of Class 8 of Architecture.
In addition to these eight sets of works, there are also two sets of special works in this assignment, which are the group work "Mountain and Mountain Not in the 2021 Tongji University International Construction Festival and the 2021 "Fengyuzhu" Plastic Hollow Slab Architectural Design and Construction Competition Encounter, people must meet” and the group work “Wheat Straw” participated in the 16th Shaanxi Province Physical Space Construction Competition and the 2021 Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology “Rye Watch” construction festival.
