On June 12, the 6th Cross-Strait Architecture College Joint Graduation Design Final Report Exchange meeting, jointly organized by Suzhou University of Science and Technology, Huaqiao University, Golden Gate University, Chang'an University, Nanjing University, and Taipei City University, was held at the School of Architecture, Chang'an University. Affected by the epidemic, teachers and students from Golden Gate University and Taipei City University were unable to come to the site. This report and exchange meeting was held offline and online simultaneously.
This joint graduation project is sponsored by Suzhou University of Science and Technology. The title of the design is "Development Planning and Design of Kaixiangong Village in the Demonstration Area of Ecological Green Integrated Development in the Yangtze River Delta". The topic of this graduation project focuses on the national rural revitalization strategy, combined with the new progress in the construction of rural villages with Jiangsu characteristics, and explores the path of rural planning and design in the Yangtze River Delta region. From March 14th to March 17th, the opening meeting was held at Suzhou University of Science and Technology, the online mid-term defense was held on April 23rd, and the final report exchange was held at Chang'an University on June 12th, 2021. About 70 teachers and students from 6 universities participated in this joint graduation design. 9 students majoring in urban and rural planning from the School of Architecture of our school completed this joint graduation design under the guidance of Professor Hou Quanhua and Associate Professor Zhang Jianxin.
The exchange meeting was chaired by Professor Hou Quanhua, and invited Zhao Haichun, chief engineer of Shaanxi Urban and Rural Planning and Design Institute, Cheng Zhengyu, deputy chief engineer of Xi'an Urban Planning and Design Institute, Li Jianwei, associate professor of School of Urban and Environment, Northwestern University, and Tian Darui, associate professor of Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology. For reviewers. In this exchange meeting, Professor Hou Quanhua, Dean of the School of Architecture of Chang'an University, delivered an opening speech, followed by the speeches by representatives of the commenting guests and teachers of each school. After the opening ceremony, 18 groups of students from 6 schools were divided into two groups to report their design results. The reviewers believed that the students had clear ideas, novel concepts, in-depth analysis, rich achievements, and distinctive characteristics. The joint graduation design achieved good results.

After the final report, a professional teaching seminar for the 6 schools was held to conduct in-depth exchanges and discussions on planning teaching, rural planning preparation, and joint graduation design improvement under the background of land and space planning. Through this joint graduation project, the exchanges between teachers and students have been promoted, the students' horizons have been broadened, and the construction of a collaborative innovation training system has been explored.
