School of Architecture Participated in the Public Reply of the Joint Graduation Project of Architecture Major of the 4th "Four Schools in Famous City" in 2021

On June 4th, Chang'an University, Qingdao University of Technology, Xiamen University and Suzhou University held the 4th "Four Schools in Famous City" Joint Graduation Design exhibition and reply in the second floor exhibition hall of School of Architecture and Urban Rural Planning of Qingdao University of Technology successfully. Eight students from architecture major of our school attended the final reply under the leadership of two teachers, Pu Wenjuan and Wang Jiawei.


The joint design topic of this year is proposed by Chang'an University and the title is "Market Xicang · Ancient and Modern Memory". Zhu Yirong, deputy Dean of The School of Architecture and Urban Rural Planning of Qingdao University of Technology, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Wang Shaofei, Dean of the Department of Architecture presided over the opening ceremony.

At the opening ceremony, Pu WenJuan on behalf of Chang'an University, she said, the "Four Schools in Famous City" Joint Graduation Design is a rare opportunity to learn and communicate. She hoped to see students' innovative design and deeper understanding of Xi'an in the process of exhibition and reply. Zhu Yirong delivered the opening speech, said that he was full of expectations for this exhibition and hoped that students would continue to work hard in the future life, constantly improve their architectural skills, and apply what they have learned to practical life. He also wished that all students could achieve ideal results. The graduation design exhibition and relay began after the ribbon-cutting at the opening ceremony.

On the scene of the exhibition, graduates from the four universities learned from each other and exchanged professional experience, which ignited a strong academic atmosphere. Students' design works combined with the major, based on reality, focus on practicality and innovation, the design theme shows incisively and vividly. The booth at the event site is divided into 8 groups with the scheme planning and design group as the unit. During the evaluation and exhibition, teachers of each school visited and browsed the graduation design works, and students showed the concept and content of architectural design comprehensively through video, PPT display, drawings display and other ways. The whole process fully demonstrates the students' professionalism and adaptability. The participating teachers highly praised the design of the students and put forward the existing problems and solutions. The public reply was well organized, and the students benefited a lot.

In the process of reply, each school presented its own distinctive educational achievements and teaching characteristics. Here, teachers and students of the four schools fully conducted academic discussions and exchanges. After nearly a day of exhibition, through the careful evaluation of the teachers of the four schools, the reply results of eight groups were given. After the evaluation committee statistics team confirmed, the final score of the students collective were calculated and awards were given to outstanding students.


The successful holding of the open exhibition and reply of the JointGraduation Design of Architecture Major of "Four Schools in Famous City" has built a communication platform for talent cultivation in various universities, which is conducive to promoting cooperation and education among universities, strengthening the exchange of experience among students from all over the country, and further promoting the interaction and communication between teachers and students in professional issues.
