From November 26 to December 1, 2018, Professor LuiginoPirola from the Department of Landscape Architecture, University of Genoa, Italy, President of the Italian Association of Landscape Design (AIAPP) and Researcher MariaQuarta from the Technical Committee of National Internal Regional Strategy of piedmont region, Italy came to the school of architecture for exchange and visit.
On November 28, 2018, Professor LuiginoPirola and Researcher MariaQuarta respectively gave two lectures about ecology and landscape planning and functional departments and policy of the Italian landscape planning in Hong Lecture. The topics covered from multi-scale synthesis, Interdisciplinary crossing, multisectoral collaboration of methods and paths of landscape planning and design under environmental vulnerability and irreversibility.
On November 30, 2018, Professor LuiginoPirola and Researcher MariaQuarta gave a lecture at the school of architecture on the theme of landscape -- means to intervene in urban public space. The lecture aims to alleviate the ecological vulnerability as a starting point, and puts forward the planning solutions to enhance the ecological resilience through several case studies.
During the visit, Professor LuiginoPirola and Researcher MariaQuarta held two discussions with the School of Architecture to promote the exchange and cooperation between the two schools, Including signing of the cooperation agreement, communication of teaching contents between the two sides, International cooperation course and training camp teaching plan, academic research and exchange visits, etc.
